My friend of 30 years, Joe N. Lester, is running for US Congress District 13. He's not running in my district, alas, but everyone needs to know that there are decent folks who are running at the grassroots level -- and Joe N. Lester is a prime example of the good we still have left in our political system.

Although Joe's never been the kind to admit these things, I will -- he's a good guy through-and-through, and walks the Christian walk every day.

Joe is up against big-money candidates in his district, but is firm in his refusal of corporate or PAC money, instead leveraging his solid personal and business reputation and strong faith in God as his currency -- all too rare nowadays. Our state (and country) needs him. If Joe comes out victorious in this campaign, we're all going to win.
